Australian comedy company, Token put on live shows for and manage a diverse portfolio of the country’s funniest and most popular comedians. The events production arm of the organisation, Token Events sits side-by-side with the affiliated operations within the business - the multi-award winning television production company, Guesswork Television, and management company, Creative Representation and the Token artist management team.
I am contracted as a Senior Publicist working to promote a selection of Token artists’ stand-up comedy shows that have included: Anne Edmonds, Peter Helliar, Dilruk Jayasinha, Dave Thornton, Lizzy Hoo, and Tom Ballard. Working collaboratively within the Token Events marketing team, I create individualised publicity campaigns for each comedian as they tour their stand-up shows across the country.
Working with the publicity teams for the major comedy and arts festivals (including the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe), I am responsible for securing mainstream media coverage for artists’ shows in the country’s top news and entertainment mastheads, radio stations, television programs, and podcasts. In 2023, I secured over 200 pieces of media coverage for the Token comedians I represented at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

The Houses Awards are Australia’s premier residential architectural design awards and celebrate the very best Antipodean houses, apartments, home renovations, and the architects behind them. The Awards act as a prism through which contemporary Australian home design can be assessed.
For over five years I have been responsible for the publicity of the awards, growing the profile of the brand each year since its conception in 2011.
The client brief is to push the Awards to new and robust audiences, particularly through news media, and cement their status and one of the country's premier design awards.
2023 saw some strongest results to date for the Awards with over 90 pieces of media coverage in some of the country’s top news and design media.

For three years I was the part-time in-house publicist and copywriter at Melbourne's beloved independent arts festival, and its permanent venue at Trades Hall in the CBD.
Beyond securing mass media coverage for the Festival itself, I also worked to produce the copy for the printed Festival guide and create year-round storytelling opportunities for the organisation and the cutting-edge artists they work with.
Some examples of media coverage include:
The Eat Drink Design Awards are Australasia's only hospitality design accolades, celebrating the most beautiful cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels in Australia and New Zealand. The Awards are a prism through which we survey the broader dining, food and cultural narratives that shape the places where we eat and drink.
I have managed the publicity of the Awards for over half a decade working to place the design narratives each year in leading news, lifestyle and design publications. In 2020 I secured over 100 pieces of media coverage for the Awards reaching an audience of over 40 million.
Open House Melbourne is when the most intriguing and inspiring venues open their doors to the public to experience over one weekend in July. 2022 was one of the largest programs in the event’s history with the introduction of a major curated exhibition called Take Hold of the Clouds.
I worked to craft media stories around the program launch and immediately before the event to drive awareness of the program. With over 218 events in the festival, there was a wealth of stories to draw from to promote Open House Melbourne.
